4th of July

This 4th of July was a busy but fun and relaxing day.

The night before was the Neighboorhood BBQ.

These boys look a little ornery :)

The next day brought some mommy time with some shopping with a friend.....and
A little Cade time..

Then just relaxed with a few of the neighbors to enjoy some treats and fireworks.

Name Gallery #8

A new name Gallery for Kooper!

The kids put these legos together and drew this out...I Love you Kooper
My cousin Brandi and her family just recently went to Wiconsin for Vacation.  She was so kind to get some photos for my gallery!!

On this one she captioned it...."And he is guiding us home."
As tears roll down my face....I am so thankful for my family and friends that do this for us.  I can not express enough every time I post a gallery what this means to us!

We have also started a map for his Gallery....Each state that we have his name/picture in we put a baby footprint or handprint.  We have 13 states + Mexico so far!!!

Swimming Lessons

Reanna and Hunter took swimming lessons again this year.  Just a few shots that I have of them.

Steve watched Carter a couple of days so the kids were excited that he got to come watch!

This was on the last day and if they did well they got to get into the hot tub at the end of the session.

All done.  He completed level 1.  On to the next level next summer. He did much better this year.  He did more diving of things on the bottom and was much more comfortable!! Very proud of him!

She completed level 4.  She is a really good swimmer and enjoys learning the new swim strokes.  Proud of her as well! Hopefully she will continue and we can eventually get her certified and she can become a lifeguard at the pool when she is old enough :) Yeah!!

So proud of them both for completing their levels!  We will see what next summer brings!!

Water Run??

The Kids, my brother, our cheerleader (my mom) and I headed out on a Saturday morning to do the Otter Water 5k Run.  This run supported the Hutch zoo getting the otter exhibit.  I thought it sounded like something different to try so I signed us up.

Zo and I did the 5k and the kids did the mile run.
Zo was not thrilled to be up this early running.....

Throughout the race there were water obstacles set up, like a handmade "car wash", water guns, the fire station hose and of course a slip and slide at the finish line. It was actually nice to have the water along the way it was a little warm and humid!

Lorenzo splashing through the finish line!
No I did not slide...I still had to run a mile with Hunter :) And I was afraid I would hurt myself...LOL

For not wanting to run, he placed 3rd in his division.....Nice Job Little Bro!!
I was able to PR my run and place 5th out 16th in my division.  Not bad for an old slow lady :)

The kids run getting ready to start
 Check out her determination!!
And Hunter takes off like crazy...I was like "Wait for me"

 She came sliding into home!
His little legs took him as fast as they could.  He ran the whole mile with the exception of 2 brief stops when he seeing where I was.
 Pounds from the announcer
 And the best part....medals!!
We did, we finished and we had fun.  The kids informed me that I was the only one that didn't get a medal. They are always good to make your day :) Love them bunches!!
After the run we headed to the park to dry out a little.
 Uncle joined them!
