Size: The baby is the size of a bell pepper, approx. 5 1/2 inches long and 7 oz.
Movement: We have had some movement-- every once in a while I feel a little flutter/kick. The first one was on September 15th around 2:45 in the afternoon. I was just sitting at work and felt something (and it was a little different than my insides rumbling) :)
Symptoms: Still growing as you can see. I am starting to "nest", I know it is early but I have to be prepared. Plus my OCD is kicking in :)
Cravings: Pop Tarts, Salad
Update: I had a Dr. appt today with my local Dr. We got to hear the heartbeat and it was in the 140's and sounded strong to me. We are moving right along taking one day at a time. I am close to being half way (or already there depending on if you go by months or weeks)! I go back to the Dr. in Wichita in a week and half to have another sonogram and see how we are proceeding from there.
Words of Encouragement: "Trust in Me, Refuse to Worry"
I was 16 weeks last Wednesday (Yes I know I am behind again) :)
Size: The baby is the size of an avacado--4 1/2 inches long and 3.5 oz.
Movement: Still none yet but again was able to see plenty of movement on the recent sonogram.
Symptoms: My stomach seems to be growing.....:)
Cravings: Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
Gender: Well for those of you that voted for a boy (which was 1 or 2 people), you just may be right. They couldn't tell real clear but she said a couple of times she thought it was a boy. She also said not to go and paint the room blue. :) So we should have a definite answer by our next appt in October but from the pictures we got it sure looks like a boy to me.......
Update: We recently went to Wichita to see a Dr. there to check on things. The baby is looking and growing well. However they did find some things with where the placement of my placenta is and how it is attached. I will go back to my Dr. on September 23rd and then to this same Dr. in Wichita on October 5th for a repeat sonogram and a check-up. They are just monitoring things for now and making sure the baby is growing. We will most likely be delivering in Wichita but we should have some more info next month. In the mean time we continue to pray that the baby keeps growing as it should and that it is healthy.
Words of Encouragement: I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of Him.....1 Samuel 1:27
Reanna was busy last Monday with another bday party of a friend/neighbor. It was a hula, swimming party. I don't have any pics cause she went over by herself. She is getting so big these days.
She just completed another week of kindergarten and is loving it. She says she had 3 boyfriends. And loves Art, Recess, P.E. and learning how to write words.
As for Hunter, he has been "finally" working on potty training, we have went 6 days with only 1 or 2 #1 accidents....we are still working on #2 but we got to start somewhere. We even have had a dry night. This was him running around in Papa and Nana's yard with his "briefs" on :)
Our friend Reese celebrated her 5th birthday last Sunday. It was an art's and crafts party. Of course, I find out when I get to the party that my battery to my camera is dead. So I have to use my phone---Here is what I did get:
The Birthday Girl Painting
Carter and Mallorie getting ready to paint Reanna making her fish
Hunter gluing his eyes on his fish.
Makin a Bag
And.....melting some crayons with a blow dryer...they loved that!!
Happy Birthday Reese!! Thanks for inviting us to a fun afternoon!!
A little background story....Mom and I taught Sunday school all last school year for Reanna's age group. We really enjoyed it!!
Every year the local paper has a Readers Choice award. People in the county can vote for their favorite things such as restaurant, salon, insurance agent, etc. So how does this tie into my above story.......See below:
I was voted #1 Sunday School Teacher in McPherson County. I was in total awe.......I couldn't believe it there are so many churches in the county and so many Sunday School teachers and I was the one voted #1. We didn't even know it until we were subbing for another Sunday School teacher last week and everyone was congratulating me. I couldn't figure out what they were talking about until one person mentioned the Reader's Choice Winners. So I had to go get a paper and see for myself :) I am honored to say the least. Thanks to everyone who may have voted for me!!
